On Saturday the 1st of December we went out as a family to bid a final farewell - Joey’s sister passed away in May this year of cancer , 4 days before her passing away she made Joey promise that her ashes will be brought to St Lucia at some stage and strewn between the whales . All her children and other close family were here this weekend to do that honour, and we were blessed to have a beautiful weather day and good ocean conditions .

The 5 Humpback Whales were swimming in close proximity to the boat , blowing a soft whoosh sound as they came up for a breath of air , as if to say that is ALL keeping us alive , one breath of air , and we got the feeling that they knew we were busy with a solemn occasion , they swam alongside the white lily’s we lay on the water in her honour. It was an amazingly emotional experience , but at the same time SO beautiful , and if only she could see what we did for her …

The WHALE WATCHING trips will therefore continue , as the ARE still whales around - Bien also got the same 5 Humpbacks on the 05h30 trip we had on Saturday morning …we are blessed to have whales still so far into the season , once we don’t see whales anymore , people still want to enjoy the tremendously powerful engines and surf launch with the ADVANTAGE boats , so the trips will automatically become the 2hour Marine Mammal Ocean Adventure .

We’re wondering now what to do , maybe you should give me some feedback , as certain people DON’T want to get up early to go to sea , but then other people prefer going early , so that they can be back in time at the guesthouses for breakfast …..maybe we must come to a compromise – if we can have at least one full boat at 06h30 every morning from all the guesthouses , ((they will then be back at +/- 09h00’ish for breakfasts , and then one full boat at 07h30 from the self catering lodges ???? the 07h30 boat will be back by about 10h00’ish, giving them time to still do something else for the rest of the day ….?????

It also gets sooooooooo hot later on in the day , and unbearable to operate in the mid-day sun , therefore always better to do these trips early morning ….

Please keep in contact …..!!!!!
