We’ve heard the sad, lamenting cries
Of whales harpooned and killed by men
Who ply the seas in search of them
In vessels great with hearts of stone
They think the world is theirs alone
Oh hear us when we pray to Thee
For whales in peril in the sea

Forsake not whales, don’t let them die
We children of the world have needs
Not noticed in this world of greed
